La Dolce Casa in Tamaqua

Been here many times. Large menu that includes basic Italian items to salads to appetizers to subs and pizza. Always good food with large portions and friendly service. Update 8/12/17 the new section is opened and it's really beautiful with the tile wood floor, exposed brick and dark wood trim.

Probably the best pizza place around. The food is always amazing there is always a pleasant atmosphere. The workers are nice and the owner is extremely friendly

Every time I order from this place the delivery time gets longer. Ordered 1 item and was told about 25 minutes. Over an hour later, the delivery arrives with the wrong sauce included. Decided to give them one more chance so I ordered for lunch at work at 10 am... Told them it had to be delivered by 11:30 and no later as I only have a 30 minute lunch. Called 2Xs after 11:30 to find out where delivery was and kept getting told he is on the way. I work 5 minutes from their location! Finally canceled at 11:45 only to have their delivery person show up at 11:55 and tell me he didn't know what time the delivery was supposed to be! I give up... Never again!

We ordered the sicilian pizza which was delicious.The waitress was great. She checked on us frequently. She didnt mind answering our questions about the menu. We could tell there was a party in the back that took alot of time but staff was smiling and available for the customers out front too.

Even though it was almost closing time, my order was delivered very fast. Everything was great ! The order was excellent and the food was hot. The delivery person was very courteous. Thanks for a great meal. O

Excellent food as always. Beautiful atmosphere especially during the holidays. The addition of a variety of mixed drimks makes.the dining experience even better. Come for a cocktail,lunch,dinner or a quick snack. By far the best place in the area.

They special made a gluten free meal for me and it was fantastic, the wife said her meal was great also

I first have to say thankyou so much for being the only place that will deliver in NewRinggold! The delivery time is fairly good as well, considering I am out of the town of Tamaqua. My one issue has been with the salads, most of the food has been real good!. The veggies are bright and fresh but the lettuce itself is not good, its crisp but all white and inner lettuce. No green in sight! If you could fix that a little bit?? 5 🌟

Having been around the country in the world for work and pleasure I could certainly say this is some of the best pizza you will ever find in America just short of New York City or Philadelphia.

Food is very good. I had the eggplant Parmesan and it was very fresh and delicious.

My family have been dining at DiMaggio's for many years. I have since moved out of the area, but when I'm up there, we make a point to grab food. The dish sizes and quality are well worth the money. I love that their breads and sauces are made in house. From the pasta dishes to the pizza and cheese steaks, they nail it all very well.

I eat at Dimaggios once a week. Great atmosphere inside if the restaurant. The staff are all friendly and attentive. Amazing prices for very generous portions of delicious food. Hands down, this is the best place to eat amazing food

Always a good experience when ordering take out. Only issue I’ve had recently is with to much dressing on a salad. The Lg. Chicken Cesar Salad was soggy due to dressing overload and had to be discarded because the lettuce had no crisp to it and it was super soggy :(

Very clean! Excellent waitress and service!! Food was very good. I only gave it a 4 star though because the sauce on the spaghetti is different from the chicken parm and it wasn't to my liking. I do know Italian restaurants do this with the sauces but normally it isnt night and day. Desert was amazing though key lime cheese cake.

Best restaurant hands down. Always fresh food, made to the way you like. Very courteous customer service. Try the four piece chicken dipped in honey it is insane,best chicken I've had anywhere . I order on average twice to three times a week since I moved to Tamaqua. This place is a guaranteed great food great people.

Terrible .. the prices are outrageous for the food I have gotten ... my delivery took almost 1 1/2 hours to get to my door.. food was cold and my lettuce for my salad was soggy... this has me upset that I spent a cent on this !

Everything is pretty good there but every time I get pizza from them, the amount of oil on these pies are absurd. So bad that even the dough gets drenched with oil. I recommend sticking with their pastas instead.

The place was very busy, it was Mother's day. However the wait with reservations was about 7 minutes. The food was very good, enjoyed the stuffed shells until I reached one that was rock hard. This tells me it was microwaved to the point of becoming solid. Also I'm not a fan of a sweet sauce. Found peppers in the salad - disappointed with that also.

Steak sandwiches from the homemade bread or awesome they mix the sauce and the onions and everything all together very good enjoy the french fries as well all the food look awesome including the specialty pizzas

All around good experience, from eat in to delivery, and the holiday decor is beautiful. Great for party dining as well, thank you for services during covid, much appreciated. People from all over travel to dine here.

Our first time here. EXCELLENT FOOD (huge portions) AND SERVICE. Beautifully decorated.... great atmosphere. Loved the accordion player...he was wonderful! Will definitely be back again and again!

Its absolutely stunning inside. Its gorgeous. Beautifully decorated for comfort. Theres a man playing music, its so neat and hes great at it. The food is amazing. I love it. Honestly, in this area..i think this may be my favorite pizza restuarant! I will return again and again!!

Best Italian food this side of the Hudson river...we would travel from wilkes-barre to Tamaqua just for the food,the staff is second to none... go hungry or plan on taking some home...I promise you will not leave and thing where to stop and eat... highly recommend..even making it a destination not just a stop to eat...

Their garlic knots are chewy and greasy, there was no garlic on them at all. Their packing ways are unfit for any place but hell. When I asked for an order of Chinken fingers I didn't expect them to put them in with salad. A cheap way to save on packaging and an easy way to ruin someone's dinner.

I've now ordered from here about 5 times. This will more than likely be the last. Only once has all my food been there. Every time were missing something. Which isn't okay especially when you are paying a decent amount. I spent $70 on dinner tonight for my family and we were missing my food. I called as soon as I opened the box and I'm still waiting for my food. It took about an hour for the food to get her to begin with and I'm waiting another hour for the rest?? The food isn't bad, but at this point I'd rather have dominos.

This is one of our favorite places to eat! My parents drive 40 minutes just to eat here every other weekend! The service is fast, the owner is wonderful, the food is fantastic and the prices are good the amount of food you get! Def my top place to go!

My family has been coming here for years and we LOVE the back banquet room! We’ve had great parties back there. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a fun venue, delicious servings, heaps of pasta, and friendly staff!
